On the 23rd of February 2023, HARTU kick off meeting took place in Eibar, at the Tekniker – Research and Technology Centre premises. The meeting provided a great opportunity to introduce ourselves in person, exchange ideas, and discuss HARTU’s collective vision for the future.

The project coordinator, Iñaki Maurtua from TEK opened the morning session, leading conversations and interventions. After the first greetings, we started with the morning presentations. Mainly, we focused on the project main goals, the workpackage breakdown and the individual partners contributions to their related activities.

After a well-deserved lunch break, the meeting continued with an exchange of views on the project work plan. The afternoon session was dedicated to specific research activities structured to understand more in detail HARTU’s five manufacturing scenarios.

During the project, parters will need to to study the different scenarios’ characteristics, gather necessary needs and requirements, both from the technical perspective and from the user perspective. The aim is to develop the best systems and methodologies to increase flexibility, reconfigurability, and production line efficiency with innovative robotic components. To ensure effective collaboration, we proactively engaged in constructive discussions to identify common ground and areas.

This crucial first meeting laid the foundation for teamwork and planned the next steps to advance the project.
